Voice & Communications Upgrades Coming to Tufts Faculty and Staff (Tufts)

Over the next few months, University Information Technology will transition
voicemail service for all Tufts campuses from Call Pilot to Exchange 2010
Unified Messaging. Unified Messaging combines voicemail and email messages
into one mailbox. Messages can be accessed using your telephone through
Outlook Voice Access or from your Exchange email. Whether you're on the road
or in The Office, you will have access to your telephone messages in one easy
step.

Before the Transition:

You will receive an email message reminding you of the transition two weeks
before it is scheduled. This email will provide instructions for reviewing and
deleting old voicemail messages and instructions for accessing the new system.
Please note that old voicemail messages will not be transferred to the new
system and will not be available after the transition.

Unified Messaging Highlights:

• Someone tries to call you in the middle of an important meeting. With new
voice-to-text translation, you'll be able to read or listen to your voicemail
messages via your Exchange email box on your smart phone, desktop, laptop or
tablet.
